More Anime Suggestions

If your looking for something a little less "BOOM, BANG, POW" I highly suggest these shows.

MORIBITO: GUARDIAN OF THE SPIRIT

   Moribito always struck me as a different kind of anime. This show has a lot of heart. It does a good job of showcasing the various personalities of the characters, and it doesn't hurt that the art (especially the coloring) is beautiful. The music is likewise well done. The story is about a female bodyguard named Balsa who is hired to protect a young prince from those tasked with killing him.



MUSHI-SHI

   Mushi-Shi is a dark, moody show about a Mushi-Shi named Ginko. Mushi-Shi are a mixture of biologists and private investigators that study Mushi. Mushi are strange creatures that take many forms and have various effects on human life. This show is a lot bleaker than the other anime I've seen, and it excels in expressing emotions through characters and music. It is not really action-packed though. Most of the time it feels very occult detective in nature.
