DICE 2016: Kojima and Del Toro Together Again

Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro will be appearing together as keynote speakers at this year's DICE Summit. The lauded creator of the Metal Gear franchise will join the famous writer and film director for an afternoon conference on February 18. Their session will be called, A Conversation with Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro, and it will be moderated by Geoff Keighley. According to the announcement, "this conversation will revisit some of their fondest memories from their own individual careers as well as some of the pivotal moments from each other’s work that remain a constant source of inspiration."

Many will remember that the extremely well received demo P.T. was what we received last time these two got together. They were working on a new Silent Hills, before it was cancelled by Konami.

Kojima has just recently severed ties to Konami and started an independent studio, Kojima Productions. Kojima has also signed a contract with Sony making his first game a Sony exclusive. This month, he will also become part of the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences' Hall of Fame.

The DICE Summit will last from February 16 - 18 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. On Thursday, Todd Howard of Bethesda Game Studios and Pete Holmes, comedian and returning DICE host, will also be appearing.
